Swapping parts until a symptom disappears is expensive and it does not tell you what was actually wrong. We test first, then explain what we found in terms that make sense.
Price before we start
You get the cost of the work up front. If a repair turns out to be uneconomic, we will say so and price the replacement rather than quietly patching it.
Say when it is not worth it
A powerflush your system does not need, a cylinder that has years left in it — turning down work that is not warranted is part of being worth calling back.

Whatever your fuel type requires, it gets done and it gets handed over. Certification is not an afterthought bolted on when someone asks for it.

The recognised registration scheme for oil heating work in the UK. It covers installing, commissioning and servicing oil-fired appliances, along with the tanks and supply pipework that feed them.
A legal requirement for anyone working on gas or LPG appliances in the UK — not a trade preference. It applies to LPG bulk tanks and cylinders just as it does to mains gas.
The competence requirement for unvented hot water storage. Those cylinders hold water at mains pressure, so their safety devices have to be specified, installed and tested by someone qualified to do it.
